Alright, so, like Paul, i love my hollies and will never let them go but i want a change. For the past couple of months i've been eying these bad boys...

Me likey! BUT, they also offer these...

http://www.1010tires.com//images/wheels/large/konig_rewind_graph_RWD_lg_enlarge.jpg

So, whats the deal? RWD and FWD...would i be able to put the RWD in the back and FWD in the front of Louis? Get the RWD 16" and the FWD 15"...??? I wonder how it would look...(it'll help if i was good at photoshop, to make it a litle clearer) Anyways, so what do you think? Good idea? Bad idea?

They are both Konig Rewinds, but the top one is representative of the MINI fitment. The lower version is for another offset (that isn't MINI friendly).

Here are the Rewinds on my solar red justacooper. BTW, the MINI emblems from the v-spoke center caps are a direct fit onto the Konig center caps. :tu:

Couldn't you drive down to Burlington and pick some up? Or would that be smuggling? They're like 100 bucks US down here.

I bought a set of these last year, on the advice of Dave and Rallymini2005. I love 'em. Just the right offset (+40) and size (15x7)

I doubt anyplace in Burlington would carry them, at least not in stock.

If you want someone to do some Burlington legwork, let me know. :tu: One of the guys in our autocross club works at a auto accessories shop and has mentioned having Konig wheels for sale in the past...

I love those wheels. I have a buddy with an extremely clean Jet Black/white S. He asked me what wheels he should go with and I told him the "old Skool" panasport type wheel would fit his personality and his car's personality. He ended up getting the MINI Lite version in 17"s. I think they look dope on his car. Dragon goers will see it following the Beast.

15x7 et40 and et0

I think if you wanted a decent amount of poke, you could rock the 0's

The rewinds are nice, but I think the Rota RBs have many more options for offset and width as well as finish. Plus the splokes look more "classic panasport" style.

I think I've got my choice down to 15x8 et35 white/polish. Special order=4 months.:(

Whats the Lip at? I think im gonna look into those...

Some deeper than others. . .

15x7 et35 looks to be slightly deeper than the Konigs. . .
15x7 et30 is nice and deep. . .
15x7 et25 even deeper, in the angle of the spokes as well. . .
15x8 et35 deepest and the most angles spoke, similar to the et0 Konigs.

Unfortunately, the people over at 18 racing stock a lot of wheels, but don not take fresh pics of them upon request. Maybe if anyone knows someone there that can get some 3/4 shots of all these sizes, in any finish, we can post them. It would make the decision much easier.

I'm getting a set of Panasports in the next few months, 16x7's (FS16). I won't need new bolts will I?

Sandtoast500

Only if you want them to look nice. :P

Ask Panasport to see if you need conical bolts or the V shaped ones. Length and hole bore should be good.

Also check on hub size; anything larger than 56.1 (MINI size) needs centering rings- call discount tire, they'll ship you a set of 4 metal ones, anodized most any color, for under $20.

By the way, you could probably get TWO sets of Rota RBs with tires for the price of ONE set of Panasports. . . Just a headsup. :tu:

Ironically....the RB's look more like panasports than the fs16's do :P

$600 for all 4 with tires. I'll stick to the deal that I got. ;) They are used but from a friend that never really dove hard on them, plus they are Panasports, so they should be good. He says that there is no damage on them.

Thanks for the info on the centering hubs didn't think about that. :tu: I may just hop down the the local MINI dealer and get the nuts from MINI in black if they will work, can't be too expensive, right? What a $1 each?

They are the real thing. A few years old, but the last year and a half they have been sitting in a garage collecting dust. :tu:
