I don't know if anyone has seen these. They are pretty ugly, but the weight saving potential could be useful. I wonder how strong these things are though.

--Cool I want a set! I had a pair of plastic rims for my bicycle and it was awesome! They were expensive as hell but I still loved em! Less unsprung weight. More flex upon impact and no more curbed rims! Kewel!

Hm... I wonder what they're using as the fiber in the composite. Carbon fiber? Fiberglass? Kevlar? A mix?

They look kind of strange on a silver wheel, but would probrobly look wicked on a satin black wheel.

Pretty funny... they actually look kind'a like a dark granite, making them look incredibly heavy when they're actually very light.
