Interior LED strips that aren't ricey looking?

I'm going to let the cat out of the bag and say that this Saturday i'm trading in the R50 for a 2010 Ford fusion with only 17k on the odometer. I'm getting a hell of a deal on it because the dealership is trying to liquidate all of their 2010 fleet cars before the 2011 ones come back.
(pictures after i receive the car)

however i really liked the mood lighting my R50 had above the cup holders and the foot well lighting (added in by previous owner i think) that matched the dash lights and only lit up when the door was open.

I'll have to wait and see what kind of lighting setup is there from the factory but i'd like to have something similar in the Fusion that doesn't look tacky or added on (OEM+) does anyone have experience with fleabay led strips or various LED bulbs/cards?
an additional note:
i don't know what the factory dash light colors are, so i'm not positive on the color but i'd really like it not to be a harsh blue-white like headlights.

I'm pretty sure most of the fords in that generation had what I called "party lights" when i was getting focus rentals. You could change their color and such. They were mostly in the footwell from what I can remember. Might be worth looking into to see if they came in the fusion too.

ok, was that standard across the focus models or an option?

I have no idea. I have to imagine it was standard if I was seeing them in rental cars as those are often the most base models available.

Color in the form of Ford's adjustable interior lighting also helps in that regard, and it gets interesting when you see a bottle of clear water change color as you cycle the lights in the base of the cup-holders through the available hues.

LEDs come in all shapes and colors. Even white is available in different varieties.

didn't end up being a problem, the fusion i went to look at was wrecked and the dealer was using it as a bait n switch car. f them i went elsewhere and bought a 05 impreza outback ;) no need to any lights :tu:
