Stoptech rotors?

Hi. Anyone using these with R53 JCW brakes?

I like the fact (1) the slots and vanes are angled differently side-to-side and (2) they aren't cross-drilled, unlike the MINI "upgrade" JCW rotors.

Those look very similar to the UUC rotors I have on my R53, they are excellent. I'm using Akebono pads with them though.

I haven't used them, but I must say, they look of a very high quality. If you end up getting them, give us some feedback on how they perform.

maybe stoptech makes the blanks for UUC? I'm sure somebody's making these for them.

BTW one of my buddies is a distributor for wilwood if you guys want anything from them. just pm me what you are looking for.

WOW nice offer! :tu:

I'm using a "stage 2" stoptech kit with drilled rotors. They've done the job so far! Only when I push the brakes to the limit do I know that they're doing more than stock brakes. I like them. Granted, I'm using the whole kit, not just rotors.

Had Stoptech slots on my '04 - worked great.

Thanks all. I think I'll probably go with these and keep my stock JCW calipers. Since I only do a few track days a year, a full bbk seems like overkill. I've yet to experience any serious fade with the JCWs.

Yeah - unless you are really pounding the car (and not hitting lines), just some good race pads & fresh fluid working JCW brakes will serve well on a relatively stock MINI for track days.
