FS: Manfrotto 055XPROB tripod kit w/ 322RC2 grip head and MBAG80P case - $275 shipped

Looking to sell this sweet tripod setup. I got it on Amazon for $400 and it's only been used a few times. It's extremely stable and the articulation on the extension and legs is about as good as it gets. They use really solid-snapping lever-action locks to secure the 3-section legs. The grip head is super intuitive and is adjustable for tension, and the carrying case is thick ballistic nylon.

What is included:

What the head looks like:

How the legs and extension articulate:

As I mentioned, I paid $400 on Amazon and it's barely been used, so I'm looking for $300 shipped within the continental US.

UPDATE: $275 shipped.

Thanks for looking! :tu:

Dropped price down to $325 shipped since it's $376.79 on Amazon currently.

I already spent a fuckload of money this month :(

Found one of these by the side of the road a couple of years back... So, ummmm, yeah - I no need. :(

It's a decent rig at a decent price - surely somebody here can bring it home?

iDiaz 02-21-2012 10:30 PM

You what?

Found one, side of road.

Seriously.

Driving to work one Monday and saw it just sitting there looking lonely - and wet, as it apparently was out there at least overnight.

Turned around, went back surveyed the scene to make sure I wasn't crazy and waited for a while to see if anybody was around with a camera. Only a city parks employee out mowing the fields and a couple of joggers about a half a mile up in the park's edge.

So it was just me and a wet tripod, sitting on the edge of the road.

Picked it up, watched Craigslist & local photo forums to see if anybody posted up as lost. Nada.

If I ever hear anybody mention losing a tripod around these parts, I'll happily return it to them, but for the interim it lurks in my gear collection.

Ranks as one of the oddest stumble upon moments I've had. Driving down the road, caught a glimpse of it, and thought "did I just see a tripod in the middle of nowhere?"... Yep. Weird.

iDiaz 02-23-2012 04:44 AM

Wow, that's quite the roadside find. Did it have the RC2 quick release plate on it? Just wondering if they'd even put a camera on it before vanishing. Alien abduction, probably.

In honor of that amazing story, I'm dropping the price to $300 shipped.

werD 02-23-2012 07:14 PM

No, they apparently had the plate on their camera when they forgot about the tripod as it was without... Of all the nerve, I mean if you're going to lose your tripod - at least make sure it has all of the pieces with it.

Although it did have the optional carry strap on it too.

Good thing I have several plates. :P

Leave it by the side of the road... Somebody will find it. :D
