Aerial Photography

Hey M|U... I have not been on in a while. Wish I had extra time to stay up-to-date on the forum.
Figured I'd post an update as to what's been keeping me busy lately..
I've been busy with my Phantom 3 Professional lately.
Not sure if there are other drone operators on the forum?

I shot this the other week in Manhattan
I'll try to keep adding shots as I work towards FAA Approval to operate in more areas.

Thanks guys!
Are there any other drone operators on here? Either for hobby or for Commercial work?

First off... This is awesome. I love rpa's and their videos/photos.

Second... Your house is epic. When can I move in? But really, it's a great design and in a wooded area. That's my ideal setup. Maybe one day when I retire and stop moving around I'll settle into something similar.

What camera are you using?

midnitecoop 09-17-2015 09:52 PM

Man, I wish that was my house.. haha.
That was the first home I shot with the drone and still my favorite so far that I have photographed.

Woops. I thought you said it was yours. I went back and looked... not even close. lol. Still epic though.

Nice shots midnitecoop, good luck with your venture.

Another UAV operator here...bought a Phantom2 in early 2014 and have logged over 500 hobby flights without losing it. Simple setup, no FPV, no gimbal, just a Go Pro Hero 3+ strapped to the underside.

Besides the MINI, it's the coolest damned hobby I've ever had...here is a shot of the new solar farm right across the road from our house...

can we get some drone selfies? or just pics of the drones?

midnitecoop 09-21-2015 10:41 PM

Really cool shot Rawk. I couldn't agree with you more, it has been one of the coolest things I have purchased lately. I'm in the middle of obtaining my FAA Approval to use it commercially.

I just did some test today using the Point of Interest feature. I am shooting 4 houses tomorrow and these new features will come in handy. Post more of your work in this thread... or we can start a Drone photography thread as well.

Here is a drone selfie for M|U

cool, thanks. I have a small micro drone, but i am not good a flying it yet.

midnitecoop 10-14-2015 03:53 AM

I had a helicopter I crashed after a few flights and a few small ones that didn't last that long either.. I was surprised at how stable the Phantom 3 Pro is.

It's been a fun since I was always into RC Cars.

For anyone interested in seeing more of my work.

I just launched a new site: ozora.co

So this is slightly related. Do the people in your profession take offense to outsiders calling them "drones"? And do the operators call themselves "pilots"? I only ask because in the Air Force we have Drones and we have RPA's. The twp are very different, and you should not get them mixed up. Especially around their respective operators.

Just curious if your community feels the same way.
