Vic's CB750 K2

So I got a bike and I've been having way too much fun riding it to take pictures, but I finally took a few tonight.

It's a 1972 Honda CB750 K2
It had 5,400 miles on it but it's climbing fast
All original, it's still on the original tires
Very very little rust

The plans for now are to do minor modifications to improve the stock look, but the long-term plan is to collect parts to turn it into a CR750 replica.

In the mean time, I'm going to remove the rear fender, relocate the brake light and license plate, repaint the tank (which doesn't look nearly as good in person as it does in pictures) and covers and then install some clubman handlebars.

looking forward to seeing what you do with this.
My buddy undertook the same project, stripped the bike down completely and built it back up a bit differently.

i think its funny that the red line is from 8 to 9, once you are over that it looks like you are good again :-)

so I want to keep it a stock color, but I'm not sure if I'll keep the candy gold. Here are my options, they're all gorgeous unfortunately. Suggestions?

I am very partial to greens, and that valley green looks gorgeous.

Gold gets my vote

VicSkimmr 09-22-2013 01:34 AM

I really can't decide which I like better. I'm pretty partial to greens too, but the gold and brown is awesome, and the silver was a japenese color and looked awesome too. gah.
