I'm not really sure there's a "best" right now. There's only like 3 or 4 bagged MINI's in the US and we're all running different setups with different height goals. 2 of them don't even go that low, but their main goal was/is to fit 20" wheels.

My setup is slammed, but I'm still working on issues...so who knows if it's "best":P

Seriously though... talk to Rally.

Edit: nevermind, he spoke up.

TheWanderer 06-04-2009 07:04 PM

Seriously though, there are alot of variables involved in picking a proper bag. How low you wanna go, how much you are willing to give up in reliability (i.e. Nothing), etc.

20" wheels =(...yuck .. i want 16 or 15 and it just completely slammed.. i have spent way to much time on vwvortex and have come to terms that my coilovers aren't enough to satisfy me

That appears to be a form letter with a changeable field for make and model of the car. You have to go custom with our cars.

Those might work in the rear...they certainly won't work on the front.

Like I said. I love my airride, but it's still in the early stages where I'm running into problems left and right. I'm taking a break right now from working on two little leaks that popped up on the rear suspension since I went lower last week. Since I'm still in those stages, I'm not really comfortable enough to say "yes, this is a great setup for the MINI"...but I am happy with it so far.

Like Wanderer said....any company you find in the US that is selling a MINI cooper kit is probably sketchy. Airbagit is garbage when it comes to quality and they're the only ones in the US that make a bolt-on kit. Our only choice is to go full on custom, or order from Europe and those are super expensive ($3k+ just for the struts).

Mine currently on 16's. There's not a whole lot of room to go lower than this. The control arms are bottoming out on the body, the swaybar endlink is hitting the body, the trailing arm is about to hit the body.

Where's the chipmunk?
You've gone to low and now he's out of a home:P

Thought it was "Stancemonk" - Protector of the stance.
