Haha, that's how I roll man. All kidding aside, it's been a while, I know... I was focusing all my time and attention in school. But now I'll be able to "finish" 13. I already got the steering wheel I wanted, so stay tuned for that, then in July (I hope) we should have an ECU tune meet, so that'll take care of the performance bit, and hopefully before the end of the year I'll be able to get the Garbino lip. Then 13 is 100%!

Of course, all of the mentioned above is in a "perfect world", where there are no errors.

Take care,

Great mini dude. I like your use of mesh for the fogs/rear aero inserts :tu: Ever give any thought to the front aero as well?

Thanks man. I did not consider the front aero bumper (if that's what you mean) in the first place because (and this will sound ridiculous), but I wanted to make sure I had a housing for the front european plate. Also, I have been in the search for a front lip since I got the car.

I'm thinking Garbino now. This has been going on forever, and if I don't pull the trigger soon, I might find something else. lol.

I did change the front mesh grill, though - the radiator grill, should I say. That is also with the same pattern as the one shown in the rears. Much more "sporty" than stock, I think.

Not too bad for a $10 mod. And there's more for other projects or replacements. hehe.

Take care,

Just finished swapping out the old steering wheel for the "sporty" version. Still stock looking, but now I have the bumps! I've always wanted these bumps!!! I love it.

Wow, it's been a while...
^ that steering wheel has been swapped with the stock one wrapped in leather. So... the "latest" post is already old...

Installed coilovers today with the help of JohnnyVillan. Should have some cool pictures once they settle/I lower them more...
Also did a new front grill for 13 - the 3-slats from the facelift models.

Pictures coming... I know, I know.

Very good. Congratz on getting low. :)

Some early pics... I got my spacers today (5mm fronts, 12mm rears), and tomorrow I'll hopefully get an alignment + wash it...

Today was playing with the front adjustments a bit, here's how it sits...

Duct-tape clearance!

I gotta get rid of that much camber...
Sorry the car's dirty, but tomorrow will be a different story (hopefully).

Haha... shh.... No, for real though, I wanted to post something like that to show clearance when I get in/out of garages/speed bumps, in the future... I guess...

The "real" clearance can be seen on the second pic.

kalbone 02-08-2010 10:27 PM

can the rear go lower? or does it need to be settled some more?

other than that, it looks dope Leo! :tu:

The rears can go waaaay lower, but that gap is actually misleading. When I was working on the car, the rears lifted up some. Before I started, I took a close look and the rears are perfect imo. The tire is just slightly tucking...

Tomorrow I should have better pics when the whole thing settles once again.

Love it. The flush looks great!

xxTHIR13ENxx 02-10-2010 07:43 PM

Well, today I was able to get an alignment, and fixed up that rear camber (was over -5 degrees... eek!)

As the rears settle, I'll have some better pics, but for now, you can see how the flush is much better... Still need to wash it, though.
