National Museum of the United States Air Force
I took some photos while I was on TDY. Here's some awesome aircraft that I thought some of you might enjoy.

If the link doesn't work, let me know and I'll upload it elsewhere.

That's a great place.... Been there several times...
I live in Columbus, so it's a nice drive there in the MINI...

It's pretty awesome for someone like me that is nuts about planes, and grew up in the Air Force. And especially now that I'm in the Air Force. haha. I could spend days there.

Can't wait for the to open up the 4th hanger.

Nice pics! I have not been there in decades, I need to go again some time.

One of the drawbacks to moving south... Much further away now.

Last time I was there with the BSA we got to see a F-15 take off and do a roll immediately after takeoff as it passed overhead. Pretty bitchin', especially since not too much traffic flies out of there anymore.

Should I just simply host the pictures on Flickr and post them in here? I feel that the facebook uploader has taken out quite a bit of the quality.

I had a heck of a week. Lots of stuff going on. And Yesterday I had a 24 hour day. lol. But the good news is that I got these sweet pictures this week! Got the rare opportunity to snap a phew photos of the XB-70 outside on the one day it's been outside since it was delivered in 1969. Literally once in a lifetime. It's been in the restricted access hanger for years. I actually got to see it then as well, but this was a much bigger deal. Hope you like the photos. I took them at night.

Super high Res photos can be found here:

It's mind-blowing in person. One day I will sit in the cockpit. I WILL do it.

I need to visit that museum again... It's been a few years since I was last there... And just a short distance from Columbus...

Nice pictures...:tu:
