Orranje Performance parts?

i came across this british company today when i was looking for Cooper S brake ducts.
they make a lot of racing panels that are lighter than Seibon CF parts (they have weights comparison listed)

has anyone used any of their products? A lot of it is considered offroad only due to safety issues of the lighten panels. they seem to operate out of MiniTorque.com.

I'm looking at their "door with inner section" Lightened doors for when i go full cage 8)

I am a partner of Orranje, so being bias... I do have a bonnet on my car as in the roof chop project, I have fitted most of the parts to several cars.

In general yes we do work from ebay and MT but next year we will be using suppliers and stock holders. Alll the body panels do require a little work but its to make it the way you want, for instance the bonnet comes with the washer jets filled so if desired would need re-opening. We leave it like this to give the end user the choice.

The biggest saver of weight is the bonnet, then glass, doors then boot and brownpants on MT has all orranje parts fitted and has saved a lot of weight

We in general are safety concious and try not to sell doors to people if they do not have a cage fitted.

that was exactly the kind of information i need to hear.
thank you :)

I wonder what kind of shipping it would be to the states though. I am in for some light parts, but vis and seibon are the only ones i can get here and shipping is still a killer

bump for more questions.

does Orranje make those massive hood vents? i can't seem to find who made them.

yaphetlives 05-07-2012 05:41 AM

^ nope, i'm afraid we don't make them.

Here's a list of the parts we do make and sell over on minitorque

and here's a link to our new baby, the G-wing, it's design is influenced by the original GP spoiler, with an Orranje twist to it -

I'm not sure what the policy is for group buys on here, but if we're allowed we could set something up if anyone's interested?

Rustyeuro 05-07-2012 05:48 AM

we just had a group buy with Ormebros for stainless brakelines. i would ask Canyon Mini how he organized that group buy.

lol i really want a double skin hood but shipping to the US for something that big must cost a mint.

yaphetlives 05-07-2012 05:56 AM

^ i dread to think what it'd cost! we have enough issues getting them sent in the uk!!

cheers for the heads up on the group buy front... i'll drop canyon a pm now

Those vents are about 300 from memory from mini garage.

Those are made out of CF and are definitely lighter, but they wouldn't be too difficult to make out of aluminum using a local custom sheet metal fabricator.

Would one of you happen to know how much our stock doors weigh? R56 Hatch
