I ordered a set of wheels to be made 17x8.5 et 29. Will the inner clearence be ok, and am I going to have a little poke as intended?

Yeah. I thought those specs would work after running them through the wheel calculator but I was still nervous being that I spent so much on wheels that are non returnable I assume haha. Look great farmguy btw!

Looking forward to pix, josh!
Perfection there, famguy!

famguy 06-23-2014 02:39 PM

^^Thanks both of you guys!

You may have to use spacers regarding inner clearence, but that depends on hight, type of coilovers and tyrestretch :) Either way it will be tight on both sides haha

Be sure to post pics asap! I want to see this :)

Im on 17x8.5 et 30 all the way around. Im also an r56 not sure if you are r56 or r53. If you interested in pics ive posted a few on here or find me on ig same name and lots posted. No spacers to clear bags and its a little poke up front running -1.7 camber and I sit flush in the rear when layed out but aired up it pokes a little.

Looking at Famguy's mini, has me a little worried as I'm going to be fitting 16x9et20 wheels on my R53. Anyone have any idea or experience on what kinda camber I'm going to be running to clear? I plan on running 205/40s on them. Lowering on springs not bags. And on another note, sick mini famguy

springs or coilovers? Springs won't get you low enough for 205/40/16

You won't NEED much camber, but 2.5 degress all around would certainly help.

HSkid 01-17-2015 08:54 PM

Oh its going on coilovers for sure. I should have specified that.
