damn gallery is screwing with me 1/2 the images upload fine then disappear

Ok sorry about that. Apparently there is some server issue with the gallery I was running. (provided by the hosting company ) These are the originals I didn't feel like resizing them again after losing the smaller versions to the server fail.

This thread will be my spot to post shots I take now that I've been inspired by the talent on this site to start using my camera a bit more seriously. Please provide feedback on anything from composition to quality of shots. Please bear in mind the last time I bothered with a shutter speed or f-stop was the early 80's

East Lower Wacker Dr (the recently redone part seen in Batman)

NBC Tower on Cityfront Plaza. (I used to be a security guard here, liked the building before that.)

Nice pics. I like the cityfront plaza one. Makes it look like Bruce Wayne's other ride.:)

Finally drove onto the grounds of the Elgin State Mental Hospital -they even let me leave.

so took the camera out for the 4th to try shooting fireworks. Pain in the ass with an af point and shoot (I think I can turn off the af but forgot to-also forgot to shoot in raw) All shots were made in bulb hand shot no tripod got a bunch of crap even more blackness (from af triggering too slow) but I did get a handful I liked:

Looking good! I love the Fireworks pictures. I did some a couple months ago, but they came out like crap. All of your photos are looking good!

So went to Road America for some racing today. it was the VSCDA Elkhart Lake Vintage Festival.

Had to leave Cheese Land early to get back for the Bears-Packers game so missed a bunch of the actual races.

Got there during the open track time so we got to see the track shared by a wide range of cars (Ford GT, Toyota Matrix E36 M3 all at the same time) stayed through the vintage stock cars, FIA, WMC, Prototypes & Sports 2000, and the Monoposto Formula 70 and Club Fords and left during the pre-war racing cars.

Took the camera to practice panning shots on fast moving cars. Here is the result:
