Beken's rides.
Wow...I've been here almost a year now and suddenly realized I've actually never posted a picture of my cars here. So here goes....
http://farm1.static.flickr.com/200/4...838627_o_d.jpg I am the original owner of both. Some might laugh at the Fiero, but don't laugh too hard. I'm the original owner of it (1985 SE-2M6) and it's been so reliable, even the marker lights and signal light bulbs are the originals from the factory. There's also a third car. The "family car" that's not in this picture. |
nice rides! my uncle use to have a fiero when i was growing up..lol
|
Hahah badass fiero :tu::tu:
What color is the MCS? |

The MCS is Black-eye purple. Purple Haze for those of you in the USA. The Fiero was pretty good for 1985, but typical of GM, they never really improved it much after the initial year. When they finally got it almost right, they killed the car while their competitors raised the bar. (Miata, Gen2 MR2, Boxter, SLK, Z3 come to mind). I still enjoy driving it though. Nothing like a mid-engined car with a noisy rumbling engine behind your ears. But the MINI is loads of fun too :D |
always good to see a fellow canadian representing!
hows are you doing lately? excited about the portland trip?? |
Yup....all excited about the Portland trip.
I'm afraid once I start with the pulley, the mod bug will spread and what's next? Injectors, CAI, exhaust, head, springs, ...... |
a girl I knew in HS had a GT V6...last year...'88 I think? Gold, fastback, with the spoiler. It was a cool car back then. A girl I dated had the 2114....the notchback 4cyl with auto. Amazing that GM put out such a unique car to be honest.

I actually have a 3rd car as a family car. We had a Buick Century. Nice a cushy ride, great for hauling the outlaws or taking the family on long roadtrips. But the last couple of years, we spent enough to have bought a Clubman just to keep the Buick running, so decided we didn't want to spend any more into that bucket of bolts. We did seriously consider getting a Clubman, but in the end, we had a need to haul the parents and family so needed at least one more seat. So we added another car to our collection.
Don't worry...the MINI still gets lots of love. My wife won't let me drive the family car much.... http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3211/...a51bab96_b.jpg |

My car hit a milestone today when I went out for a lunchtime drive.
https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4037/...f89946_z_d.jpg Roadtrips of note: 2 AMVIVs, 1 Rally in the Valley (British Cars), 4 PSMINI Show n Shines, Alta Performance's grand opening, annual trips to HellsGate, BC, Sea-to-Sky highway to Whistler BC and Duffey Lake Road. I hope the rest of you MINI drivers continue to enjoy motoring as much or more than I do. :dribble: |
Congratulations!
