I'd say its feasible, the first one came apart just fine. I just went too quickly with the second one.

The housing is in good shape, I just sent a nice crack across the second one.

Those do look neat. I just don't know why they're so expensive. Unless they are USA made it seems like they should be considerably cheaper.

Mine were attached with a black adhesive. Got soft after a long time but I chipped up the edges a bit.

Then I broke the second one pretty bad. I think Im going to try and cut open the next set.

Well, for $30 you'd have a hard time otherwise finding a good housing with a clear, non fluted lens to use in a retrofit.

Also, I don't think the lens on mine was glass. I'd have to go check again...
