Running a shorts tire will increase your wheelgap. A 40 series tire will look better with a bigger drop.

ok guys i need some advise. my konig hotswaps definitely wasn't a first choice, but seeing as the rims i wanted didn't fit on the car, America's tire co gave me a really good deal on them. im looking at other possible rims and i need some input. what do you guys think about these? you guys think they will go well with my car?

im a little worried about the chrome lip, but i like the clean look of them. any other ideas will be greatly appreciated. budget is $150 or lower per rim :/

Chrome lips are really played out. If thats not something you care about then thats a different story. Im probably going to paint my polished lips because im so tired of seeing every bone stock car next to me with cheap 15" rims that look like mine lol.

see the think is, the hotswas i have are SUPER unique. i have not seen another mini with them anywhere on the forums, but i think its just too much red... im just kinda torn right now. orginially i wanted the matt black kyowas with red lip but they dont fit our coopers so....

The painted pieces on your rims are interchangeable no? Just swap 'em. Heck, just paint or plastidip the red ones Ive seen Hotswaps with no inserts at all that didnt look to bad.

hahah i just tried doing black with the inserts today and they looked like sh*t.

good lord those are hot!!!! but hella expensive. if i had that kind of money id buy the Advan RS-D. my budget is $600 so im still looking for something sexy in that price range. already have the tires.
