Question HELP! 7.5 x 18" ASA ar1 et38 paperwork?!?

Hey there!

I registrated in this forum because I found some pictures of the mini coopers with different rims on.
Few days ago I purchased a set of asa ar1 7.5 x 18" et38 rims for my mini.

Unfortunately I didn't get any kind of paperwork for it and as you might have heard about, we, over here in Germany need some kind of papers for everything. for the German TÜV!

So what I'd like to know is, if anyone of you has any idea or even has some paper for the rims, or know where to get them from.
The homepage of asa wouldn't let me find some kind of vehicle type approval for this size.
For 8 x 18" it wasn't a problem to find the papers, but thats unfortunately not what the engraving on my new rims says.

I'd be very, veryglad to hear from you soon!!!
Pleeeeeaase help me!

greetz from Germany!

Linda

Hi Linda,

I would give ASA a call. They would be your best bet to receive the TUV paperwork

hey E30M3,
I have already called the german ASA company, they told me that this size of rims was produced in the US, so I thought someone here must have heard about them.....
they weren't able to hand over any kind of paper for those to me!

Hmm, that's a bummer. You'll likely have to take it to an engineer to have the tub aproval done. Im not sure what the name in german is, but many of my german friends have to have their cars taken to a special tub engineer to pass modifications that do not come with tub paperwork.

Or you can sell the wheels and buy some bbs wheels with paperwork

Just email ASA here in the States. I am sure they can provide you with any build info Germany requires. Sounds like an excellent choice in Wheels. Please post some Pics.

Cheers.....

If it was manufactered for US market they will not have been approved or tested to TUV unfortunately.

You might give tirerack.com a call and see if they can help. They are probably the largest retailer in the states for ASA.

Hey Yall!
So yeah, Tirerack wouldn't help me a lot either....they want me to contact ASA Germany...haha
So I'm just gonna go for TÜV and see what happens....I'll just play the little, naive blond girl who doesn't have a clue in the majority of cases at least that works!
