Default Cigarette Lighter

i use the cigarette lighter to power various things.. but i think it crapped out on me. I know it's not the things i'm trying to get power to as they work fine when plugged into my brother's car.

if anyone has a bently or haynes or whatever manual that can tell me if this is an easy fix, PLEASE let me know ASAP as I need to have it working before next monday (04/10). I don't feel like calling dealerships as they tend to take their sweet time with things like this (but I will if it comes down to it).

Yes, check the fuse.

If it blows out again, you may have to replace the piece all together. I just replaced my gf's in another type of car, but it was only $12.00.

Actually, if you do have to replace the unit, it's a little bit of a pain to get to. Don't forget there are screws in the cup holders...

*whew* just the fuse, thanks fellas

although... here's another thing:

as soon as i opened the fuse door, something made a whirring sound (kinda like when the car powers down.. but louder and more drawn out). I doubt it actually had anything to do with the fuse door as it made the sound again a few minutes later and I was already walking out the garage...

Yah sounds like typical cool down which coincidentally came at the exact same time as the fuse door opened
