Nothing new here. Thing keeps on running good, only issue is an intermittent problem with the steering angle sensor, tripping the DSC.

Another year and I've got some things to fix over the winter; lower front control arm bushings, couple of gaskets and o-rings to stop some oil leaks, and the front brakes.
"Other than those items, the car is in really good shape" said the MINI tech when he did the airbag system recall fix, lol.

Older pic, of an older car.
Stopped by the MINI dealership to fix the airbag recall, mechanic loved my car but then gave me the inspection results lol:
Worn lower control arm bushings front.
Worn front brakes.
Leaky oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, crank sensor o ring.
Oh well, hoping to fix all of that myself when it warms up outside.

That old gas station in Cogar, Oklahoma, was featured in the movie Rain Man.

When the US first mandated airbags, the requirement for their design and engineering was that they last 10 years. As cars approach 15 years, you would think they were serviceable and perhaps replaceable at a reasonable cost. As it turns out, they are not, and rather than being a safety device, they have become time bombs.
