Default Los Angeles canyon suggestions?

I celebrated my first weekend in my 07 Astro Black MCS with my first bit of real canyon carving in the Hollywood hills on Saturday. I started by heading up Laurel Canyon, which was a mess of traffic and old, slow people. But whatever, I was aiming for Mulholland anyway. Traffic was turning right so I turned left, hit the sport button, and stuffed the go pedal. I was getting tailed by a Range Rover Sport for a good bit of it. He was showing off to his unimpressed girlfriend by tailing me in the straights but I lost him in the curves. I have never had so much fun in a car before. I wasn't even going crazy fast, but I can't describe how exciting it was to really see what my new car could do. The difference between this car and my old Mustang is incredible. I'll miss it, but I never had this much fun in it, that's for sure.

So that brings me to my question. For you fellow Angelinos and neighbors, where do you like to drive around here? Local canyons? Day trips? And do you ever meet up for runs?

we like you and value all you have to contribute.

we often do all sorts of fun meetups and runs and photoshoots! stick around and see!

there is some A-FUCKING-MAZING stuff out there but as a general rule we don't discuss specific locations on the public interwebs. you'll have to just hang out with us in person!

we all got spots!

Based on where you said you've been already you haven't seen nothin yet You need to go just a bit more north for some of the best roads in the country . Like Sam said we don't discuss specifics much on a public forum as we are watched by " the man " on a regular basis. Hook up with one of us in person for more details . If you are anywhere near the SF valley I am usually at the Sunday morning supercar show in woodland hills . Another option would be to join SCMM.org which is the largest mini club in the world and does a lot of local events . In march we have a 125 mile canyon run in the Santa Monica mountains alone that really covers a majority of the good ones .

Bakersfield in April sounds cool too if work allows. I'm delivering a big job that Friday. Fingers crossed.

I've not done that one but those that have rave about it . Apparently there are some really good roads out there that are just about deserted.
