Default brake light issue

Hey guys. I woke up this morning to go to the autocross, and on my way there the iPod hookup stopped working, my turning indicators in the car stopped working, the seatbelt light stays on, and now the brake lights won't turn off when the car is off. What's should I look for?

Did you check fuses and relays?

Tried. Didn't have a lot of time. I disconnected and reconnected the battery and it fixed the lighting problem.

Ok. I'm home now and I checked the fuses. Everything is in good shape. Now my speedo lights aren't coming on as well. Any suggestions?
*Edit: the fuses are all intact, but the lights are still messed up as well as the iPod hookup

I didn't think of that. I figured it would be the body control unit. Maybe I can try resetting that? I don't know exactly how to go about that though

It's the battery.

Well I know you guys know a lot more about these cars than I do, but the battery wasn't the issue. Charged it all the way up and still no change. Not even from a different battery

We had a car in the shop not that long ago with some electrical issues, turns out the big connector under the fuse panel got wet and some of the terminals were corroded. I would also check the connector to the BC1 for corrosion or evidence of moisture.

Today I checked both places and neither had signs of corrosion or water damage. The mini dealer says it starts with the seat belt module which is a $421 part new from turner motor sports

My dad's e36 m3 battery. And my battery is pretty new as is. The car acts perfectly fine other than these things so I don't really see how it could be the battery

Bad batteries and wonking grounds can cause all kinds of weird things.

Do you have a battery charger/tender you can use to see if that helps?
