I thought I had posted on this before, but I was wrong.

Ben, born 2-15-85, 24 and 2 days. Born in Albu, NM. Don't ever plan on going back. Oldest of nine.
Joined the Air Force in 2004, C-130 loadmaster, stationed at Ramstein, Germany since 2005. Love it here. The roads, the beer, the women (my gf of almost 2 years is German).
Bought my 2006 PS/B MCS, Vixen, on a whim from a friend going to look at one. He said, "Come look at a MINI", and I bought it that day. Best impulse buy ever.
Been on m|u a little over 2 years. I had forgone the whole internet thing for awhile, hence the long break.
Coming back to the states in Sep. Hoping to make as many events as I can in the future. MINI United is on the list. And I need to make it up to paultiex and hit the ring in my own car before I leave Germany. Ich liebe mein auto. Ich bin so faul, manchmal.

Viel glück und gute fahrt!!

I use to own a 95 Nissan 240sx with a Silvia S15 motor and body swap(got killed by an Integra sliding into me at 110mph)
Then got a 1991 S13 i loved that car till i racked up 2 many tickets so i had to get rid of it.
Ive loved Minis all my life never thought i would own one 2 bad its not one of the older ones but i still love it.
I cant wait to start adding parts onto my car but when you marry someone who has never even added rims onto a car she has owned its kinda hard to convince her to let me spend a couple of grand on my car

I was there in June 2008 for a month. We spent most of our time in Manila (Makati), but also went to Banaue, Sagata, and Borocay. They were all really fun except we got caught in a typhoon in Borocay for four days (maybe you heard about it).

Grew up in Makati (technically bout 20 minutes away in Alabang)

heard about the typhoon, looks like it was pretty massive. My buddy's building a rest house in Boracay so we have a place to chill when we go. I love it there!!

Hmmmm Sagada?? Ahh the stories I can tell. From the 12 hour bus ride to bartering "stuff". What did you there???

I really want to back to Borocay and see it with nice weather. We had one day of sun and it was one of the best sunsets I've ever seen. Not to mention how many sheap watches I could have bought.

Woops, Sagada. While we were there we went spelunking in one of the caves, and then we went on a hike and saw some of the hanging graves. It's pretty amazing how they do that. Pretty sure these were the ones we hiked to.

I must say that the bus ride was probably one of the most interesting/scary car ride of my life. I can;t believe people sit on top of those things right on the edge of a cliff in the rain.

Haha. The way you described the bus ride is exactly how I remember it. All you need is a little sumtin sumtin to get you by

Those graves are indigenous to that part of the Philippines and its definitely a sight to be seen. Enchanting to say the least.

Sunsets in Boracay are world renowned but even better are the ladies that frolick the island

fascinating info on this thread.

Lacey Underall is not my real name

I was born in Columbia, SC on January 12, 1975
my dad was an MG/Fiat/Alpha Romeo tech in the 70's & 80's, and built race engines for stock cars until he hurt his back in the late 80's.
I've been around cars, and racing my whole life.
I moved to Charlotte in 99'.
I worked for a boutique motor sports marketing firm producing R&D programs for MB, BMW, MINI (we did the initial program launch in 2002) Maserati, and Ferrari until I got pregnant with my 2nd child in 2006.
I married my best friend in May of 02'. Spent my honeymoon in the infield of the Coca-Cola 600.
I know it's not popular with this group, but I love Nascar, and going to races.
I have 2 daughters. 6 & almost 3yrs old.
one dog, Elmo Langley, and a cat, Woody Hayes.
I'm moving to Hudson, Ohio soon.

and i'm really glad to be a part of the M|U.
