Sorry about the loss.

Now that you've got a blank canvas to start with, I can't wait to see what your mind, armed with your abilities, comes up with next!

Sorry to hear about HAL, such an awesome and inspiring car. But it will be interesting to see what rises from the ashes. Really in the great scheme of things this is only a minor setback, overall the car's still awesome, just in need of some engine work.

Yeah Minor is relative. As I said, it's not so much what needs to be done that killed her, it's the fact that she was the last of the original 3 TC cars with untouched motors and silly power.

anyway, I am getting stuff together, hopfully I can have her back for the fall. It's all about time and money now.

You're definitely installing a lift kit and some monster truck tires to make the first off-road MINI aren't you

It's more than a project, it's an economic stimulus package.

I totally understand that. With other projects (and maybe with the MINI too) I've thought that if something happened, I'd probably use it as an excuse to pursue a different build-up plan rather than just recreate what I've already done. Granted, none of my current or past projects have really ever been near the level that Hal achieved, but I totally understand.

This is how I feel. The Project that was HAL is done. That ship has sailed. I am looking forward to what is next.

heh.... so weird how a car can effect one so much.
No, it is not at all weird. They become a part of us.
I am very sad to hear about Hal, but I know you will rebuild her; I have seen what is possible. The seemingly impossible can happen if we want it bad enough... if we care enough.

you made one of the fastest MINIs, now it's time to make the slowest MINI. Put a lawnmower engine in that badboy!
