Sounds like it. That is ridiculous. I was expecting something like the US special where they specifically inflamed the locals. This looks like some people with too much time on their hands or possibly Top Gear publicity stunt...

I find it hard to believe that no one knew about the plate.
If these cars were purchased in the UK and shipped to Argentina I doubt someone didn't notice or know about it. Almost looks like a personal plate.
If these cars were purchased in Argentina then someone was in charge of getting UK plates for them.
Too coincidental?

I think once this is all sorted out Jeremy Clarkson/Top Gear are probably done at the BBC.

I doubt they will can Clarkson and company over this; it's pretty much what they do everywhere and have since they started

I actually think the opposite, Clarkson is already on probation. Pretty sure the BBC is tired of dealing with this crap.

It literally wouldn't be the same without Clarkson.

I guess the Top Gear team just posted another confirmation that the plates were unknown to them, just coincidence. I guess I can believe it, as long as it doesn't come from Clarkson. He's been known not to tell the truth. I hope the show continues as is because it's really good, I'm just not the biggest fan of Clarkson.

Depending on what source you use Clarkson has a net worth between 15 and 50 million. I doubt he would not mind some time off to spend some of his cash .

JC is already in hot water for the whole "slope" comment during one of the recent specials and its been mentioned by both himself and the BBC to the public that particular incident is the last one they'll allow. I hope it was just coincidental as well. You might even say the whole crew is on a slippery...slope.
