Default I'd like to introduce myself.

My Name Is Daniel, I go by Airbagged on most forums. I am big into fixing up my little Scion IQ named Scrappy, after a character from the old Scooby Doo cartoons.
I really enjoy helping others any chance I get, so if there are any other IQ owners out there I'm here for you.
Look forward to interacting with others on here.
Regards,
Daniel ( aka Airbagged)

The Scion IQ is an interesting choice as they are overpriced when new, somewhat rare, and have only a moderate threshold for performance. To me its an ECO-tuner.

Daniel, Airbagged, has taken it to the next level! His car has a rear disc brake conversion, a supercharger, and a shit ton of cool stuff! He is very mechanical and quite helpful. Pick his brain!

Mine wasn't overpriced. Though, if the rumors about this being the last production year are true, it will definitely become pretty rare in the US.

How long before they show up on BringATrailer.com?

Cool little car, but have yet to catch on. Heck even in the hipster parts of Nashville you never see them. Sad to see them go if indeed this is the final year.

Default My engine bay

Here is a picture of my IQ under the hood. It is supercharged, and I did all the work myself. I ordered the kit from Japan then put my own little twist on it, and fixed some of the bugs with the kit.

Default silicone radiator hoses.

I paid for these guys, so this isn't a plug in for any company. I had HPS design a kit for the Scion IQ, it cost me a pretty penny, but at least now other IQ owners will have an option to help dress up their engine bays. I was also real proud that HPS decided to use images of my car to advertise the new kit for their company. Yeah I'm a sucker I made no money off this, but I was just grateful that they even took the time to design a kit for the scionIQ when a lot of the aftermarket has overlooked my lite car.

Default Rear disk brakes for the Scion IQ.

That I know of, I'm the only person in the US running a disk brake conversion while still retaining full use of my emergency/parking brake. I worked with a company to design this kit and it was very challenging, and hard to pull off in the end. Retaining the use of the emergency brake involved importing brake cables from England, and taking out all the interior to get to the parking brake balance bar, which I had to fabricate a new version to tie everything together.
I'm really old school,I'm not all that good with computers, and don't have a clue how to use a CAD program, I draw everything with pencil and paper, and take the drawings down to the machine shop to bring things to life.
