Default My re designed pulley for the supercharger kit

There was an issue with one if the pulleys that came with my supercharger kit, the company I bought the kit from didn't have a solution to the problem, so I re designed an existing pulley and made things work out. Now the problem is solved and everything is working the way it should. If any of you decide to by this kit, let me know and I can try and get you one of the corrected pulleys I re designed.

Default A little bit about my wheels

I couldn't find a wheel available here in the US with all the correct specs, so I imported these directly from Japan air freight. Nobody in the US stocks them in this size, offset, and lug pattern, they are Enkei RSM9 wheels 18"-7.5" 48mm offset 4-100 lug pattern. They only weight 17.26lbs which is pretty decent for a 18" wheel and all together with my tires the combo weighs exactly as much as my stock rim and tire combo.
My tires are Yokohama S-drive 205-40-18"

Default Two IQs hanging out

Here is a picture of my IQ, and my friend Jaime's, he purchased my other set of Enkei wheels I had powder coated, and my first big brake kit I used on the front end. I also lowered it for him, and did some other little stuff. Jaime is a really nice guy, and hopefully he will join us on here.

Default Custom pedals

I had a company design me up a set of pedals with the IQ logo embossed on them. They replace the factory rubber pads, are bolt on, and textured with a super grippy pattern.

Default Front suspension and brakes

Here is a picture of my front suspension and brakes. I am running Megan coil overs, which there is a bit if an issue with currently, but another member and Iare working with Megan to try and get that corrected.
I also had custom made Sway bar end links using a swaged center section and Heim joints, to address what I felt was a weak point in the front suspension.

Default Some of my level of detail

Here is one of the Harnesses that goes to my piggy back ECU for the supercharger, I had to extend each and every wire, about 20 in total by 5' a the wires are color coded so I had to add in the 5' section while keeping the end the original color, that meant about 40 solder points that where all covered with heT shrink, and then wrapped with friction tape. Real pain in the butt, but the kit is originally designed for a right hand drive IQ so the harness was way to short to place the ECU where it needed to go.

Default Custom Red carbon fiber battery cover

I'm running an Optima D51 series battery, which is a yellow top battery. Yellow didn't exactly go with my theme, so I purchased a piece of 3.5mm thick red carbon fiber sheet, and cut out a cover for the battery, I made an extra one if anyone is also running a D51 optima and wants to spruce it up a bit. It is a lot harder to do this than you would think, it requires a lot of measuring, and careful cutting of a very expensive material.

Default Hope you like my pics

I have about 100 pics or do of all my progress with my build on this IQ. If there is a specific area anyone is interested in seeing, hut me up and I'll dig up a pic to post about that area, and how I addressed modifying it.

Regards,
Daniel

Cool little car, but have yet to catch on. Heck even in the hipster parts of Nashville you never see them. Sad to see them go if indeed this is the final year.

Yeah, I don't believe I have encountered another one in my town since I've owned it. We were in Europe last summer, and they were everywhere! almost as many iQs as smart cars.

I blame the lack of transmission options available here, and the Scion pure pricing bullshit. I guess a lack of marketing too, most people I talk to think it's a smart.

I've never seen one on the road. They're really cool little cars, I just wonder how many people even know they exist.
