Evidently the fuckers were afraid of touching the inner tie rod adjustment. They were being lazy and only doing the outer adjustment.

Not fixed yet, but at least I know what is going on.

This is coupled with the fact that the Megans could have been built with a slightly different casting angle on the spindle coming off of the strut. This would have also fixed the issue, but would require a re-design Version 2 from Megan.

Default About airbagging an IQ

Somebody asked about space to put the tank and compressor, there is a small area behind the back seats, if I had gone the airbagged route with this build, I would have had a tank welded up out of aluminum that fit in that compartment area. It would have been a cool way to hide the tank and not risk having it hit the ground when you place it underneath as another individual has done. Personally though if I had my wish I would do a set of Umbrella cups to go with my coil overs thus getting performance and handling at the same time.

Thanks daniel. The IQ is now aligned. Its on the road and safe, but the project is not over.


Megan and I have an appointment at the end of the month for re-evaluating the steering arm angle of the passenger side strut. As the kit is not 100% 'bolt on' currently.

For other readers, I am having the same Problem with my Megan coil overs, and have spoken with Sam multiple times. We are going to discuss this further with Megan to try and correct the issue, my guess is when the steering arm was welded onto the strut assembly it was off by a few degrees. Their welding Jig is probably set incorrectly, so this is a problem that could well affect anyone who purchases this kit, I personally will continue to discuss this with Megan till a safe resolution is found, and I know that the kit is safe for others to purchase.

I think I may have found the wheels


lightweight though not the best brand in the world... the price vs weight is great!

at 14.3 lbs the ROTA R-Spec 16x7 4x100 +45mm 67.1HB should fit amazingly given how low i'm sitting on the Megans. i believe they are lighter than the stock 16s which are also only 5.5 inches wide.

of course a set of 67.1-54.1 hub-centric rings help a bit too.

Megan is working on V2 of the coilover kit using our car as the prototype. At least they are paying to reinstall and align it.

i knew you would get a kik out of this rally. but we want cheap wheels for this car. the size is super rare... there are not many options...

the only requirements are a multi spoke design 9 or more.

and

16x7 4x100 +45mm

tires will probably be 195/50/16 or 205/45/16

I like them. They aren't my favorite that I have seen, but finding the right offset has been difficult. I'll like them a lot more with custom paint!

They should look good .

Have you looked into any of the Civic based forums ?

I think their wheel specs might be similar.
