I got in good in with the dealership in my town and they had one that BMW let them test. I was able to drive it whenever/Wherever I wanted. It ruled like nobody's business. I would buy the car in a heartbeat! Too bad I wasn't able to export one to the States when they started to get produced.

Hahah yeah, the wing is a bit exaggerated by the wide camera angle, though.

Well, it looks like they're not actually dropping the "The Ultimate Driving Machine" slogan - just supplementing it. Although, "Company of Ideas" sounds like it should be an IBM slogan or something...

i think that bimmer's are the ultimate anymore, their older cars are raw performers, a friend of mine has a e90 330 and has such a pedigree, i'll take my bone jarring mini over it anyday

I'll give it a test drive sometime next week and I'll let you know if it's still "the ultimate driving machine"

Ah, I disagree. I think they perform just as well, if not better, than their predecessors. The main difference is that BMW has learned how to make a performance car comfortable through higher structural rigidity and top-notch suspension tuning, with little sacrifice to performance. This is in contrast to other car companies, where any gain in comfort yields a loss in performance.

They should perform better then their predecessors!

BMW's handle better then most cars in their class, but they're not as comfortable. They still have that "rough" ride people complain about as compared to say a mercedes or cadillac. I like the rougher ride myself but many people don't, they care about how smooth and comfy the car feels on the FW and how the seat warmers heat up their butts.

The European Car guys had one of those twin turbo 3-series here at the office, nice car. I wouldn't mind driving one those bad boys.

Yeah they are not dropping it, like said above they are supplimenting it. With a bunch of crappy ones i might add. If you goto their website of add, it is still the OG one.

Oh Ivan you like SMG? You better get an e46, because BMW is dropping that tranny in favor of a Twin Clutch system. I dont think the e90/e92 m3 is going to have SMG
