Default Back in business - Minvader V2

Haven't posted any updates on my build Minvader in a while. Because the day after this photo

Click the image to open in full size.

it was totalled. Didn't look too bad physically so our hopes were to rebuild it and make it stronger, like who it was named after..but with a closer look we realized it was caput. Insurance said that all they could give was a certificate of destruction, and at that it'd be $5k to buy back since there was no body damage.

So I went to work taking off all my parts that were salvagable (including the KWs! ) and replaced them with old parts from the other MINI we have..

So went on a hunt for a new project and within a couple months I found the gray one: (sorry for shitty IG photos, it's all I've got so far!)

2004 MINI Cooper S
What it came with:
Borla exhaust
Megan headers
15% pulley
K&N intake
Magnacore wires
MSD coilpack
BSH lower engine mount

and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting or just haven't found yet.
Basically all my old parts will land on this car eventually.

So far:

Added my facelift xenon headlights and facelift taillights, and don't worry, the panda headlight rings go shortly as well.

Vinyl wrapped rings and top aero grill (bottom one is broken so gotta buy a new one before that happens)

Blah blah blah..some other little things here and there but also put my KW V2s back onand bought some new adjustable lower rear control arms since my old ones got destroyed and here we are at this point:

This is before I dialed them in at all.
Got the Porsche twists from a local guy & painted them white.
The specs are
F 17x7 205/40 Falken 912s
R 17x8.5 215/45 Falken 912s (quickly swapping these out for something shorter)

This is after today after tweaking the suspension.

More fun to come!

Looks great! I love the twists.

Just a heads up, be careful with those wires and coil pack. I've read on multiple occasions that these motors prefer the OEM parts over anything else. Just food for thought.

As I've told you many times on IG, I love it! Lol I didn't know you had headers on it. How's the sound? Does it have a loud drone on the highway?

Great comeback!

Are those 15" bottle caps on your old one? I thought those only came in 14" (and don't fit MINI's)...

My favorite build currently. I didn't realize it came with so many other goodies!
I was running a screamin' demon coil until I got my tune. The car had better #'s with the stock Bosch coil.

The sound is AMAZING! It does come with some drone though as there is no cat, but it's not very much in my mind. Next time I see you ill take you for a ride.

It's funny that you mention those. They didn't fit over the brakes, so I just took off the calipers before it got towed away. My insurance guy said as long as the parts went with the car they would be happy.

Thanks for the warnings on the coil guys, ill keep it in mind.

In other news, doing some fender trimming on the metal under the arches tomorrow and some new tires should be on the back in about a week so I can get the rear lowlowlow

Plus I've got some interior stuff planned. Hoping to have alot done before the Mystery Meat show in Orlando on April 14th. Anybody in the area should come, seems like it's gonna be really cool!

Ill keep updating with pictures as things happen, I know it's more fun that way
