Looks great! It sounds like you've done some decent maintenance and repairs recently, so you've done what you can do prep for the drive.

That wheel setup is sharp. Let me know when you decide to get rid of them.

Looks great!

Nathan, I'm considering selling the set from my Miata. They're white, 8"/9" and on 205/40 Falken 615K's. I've got MINI compatible adapters, too. Hit me up if interested.

Sorry for the thread jack!

trust me before you install have that resonator cut out. i have the same set up on my car. the resonator is just not solid enough it rings itself like a bell, it sounded like it was hitting something metal on metal but it was not, it was just the thin walls ringing. plus it sounds great without it

Do you have a video or sound clip of the exhaust note without the resonator in the IE exhaust?

Well my east coast road trip was quite an experience. All said and done I think the car handled the trip very well. I only had 2 "major" issues.

The first was after some "spirited" driving in the mountains of Helen, GA. The manifold/downpipe split in half right at the pre-cat. Fortunately, for me I was able to find a shop close by to weld it back up for me prior to my 15 hour drive back north.

The second was about 2 hours after my departure from Helen on I-85 North. Some debris, i still have no idea what it actually was, flew up and over a pickup truck in front of my and basically landed a foot in front of my car. It looked like plastic and shattered like plastic, but at 85 mph i guess anything can really do some damage. It took out my lower grille, ac condenser and the radiator. Luckily, I made it off the highway and ended up in Greenville, SC where I met some nice people who helped me locate a new radiator. After walking to a wholesaler about a mile from where i was stranded, they were nice enough to sell me a single unit. I also owe big thank you to Keenan at the Greenville Advance Auto for letting me swap the rad out in his store's parking lot. Cheers for that. All in all the whole ordeal only cost me about $200 and 4 hours from the point of impact to getting back on the road, so things could've been much worse I suppose.

I logged a little over 3000 miles in just about 12 days and the car handled it just fine aside from the unpredictable things mentioned above. I am quite satisfied with this little car.

I also spent some time on the side of the Jersey Turnpike helping out a friend who blew his wheel bearing on the ride up from Georgia.
