Default '07 MCS Spied!

Lots of changes up front, most notably a much longer overhang. This could hurt the turn-in response of the car noticeably! Also, the hood scoop now sits more flat, which could possibly affect its efficiency.

The speedo has grown! I actually like the look of the new dash a lot. It's picked up a lot of BMW influence in this iteration, most notably the use of clean, flat, black leather-textured surfaces where there used to be a lot of curvature.

What's that sticking out under the display on the speedo?

Look closely under the car, and you'll find that they listened to our gripes about the rumor that they were going to do away with the multi-link rear suspension. Looks like our good ol' multi-link geometry to me! Another important change they've made is in widening the track width, as can be seen with the more prominent fender flares both in steel and in the plastic arches. This could definitely help to offset the increase in length, making for a slightly larger car that hopefully still has the snappy handling characteristics of the R50/R53 generation.

I am interested in seeing the rear tailights. From that last picture, it seems like projectile lights.

Do they not have the middle grill in the bumper anymore? It's kind of hard to tell from the picture but it looks like it will be kind of like the orciari one piece front grill.

Hm. That sensor detects light levels for the automatic AC, so that it can crank it up when you're in direct sunlight, or turn it down when it's overcast. I doubt that's what's sticking out of the speedo. HMMm... I wish we could get a closer look!

The rectangle thing? From what I read a while back, the stereo and all that was going to be integrated into one control unit. Maybe that is it.

Could be. The slot for the CD is down below, though. From what I read, they were going to put the display for the CD player in the speedo, but I didn't read anything about controls being there, too.

I am more than likely going to get one. I have been bugging the wife to let me get something track only so I DONT HAVE TO SWEAT BUSIN UP THE DRIVER CAR.

If all goes as planned I will get an 07 and that will be my daily car and I will focus on show quality and street power as well as handling but more focus on it being street driven and shown. The 05 will go full track no limits !Now I just have to go make some $$
