Default The Other Car

Well, i have a small thread about her on NAM, but i think i'm gonna start one on here too.

Well, let me introduce you to The Real Eleanor, my 1973 Mach 1.

Purchased sometime between Nov and Jan 2001 (i really cant remember) It was my first car. This car has traded hands quite a few times. Last time i counted, the car has been in the hands of 4 different people from the day i sold it the first time, to the day i bought it back for the last time.

Its a relatively sedate car, 351 Cleveland 2v, C6 Auto with 2.73 gears in a 9". Yellow with a Ginger interior. Had some odd options for a Mach.... spoiler delete, hood stripe delete and 14" hubcaps and trim rings.

Its currently undergoing a complete rotissery restoration at our new company, currently unnamed, and will be out for the first show of the season, the Cleaveland Autorama in March.

Herer are a few pics, just so you can see how far it has come....

no clone, Its a malibu, no trim and a cowl hood ( steel like a 69 camaro ) the engine is a later 4 bolt main stroked to 383 with aluminum heads etc. The pulley setup is a chevy perfomance setup, my bro in law worked at a gm dealer and got me a smokin deal. It also has a built 700r4 and an eaton posi. We didnt do the rotisery but it was done frame off and eveything is new including all new grade 8 hardware, stainless lines, hotchkis etc.

Keep me poted on the progress of your mach.

well, i'm looking into a 427 stroker kit i found for the Cleveland.

Right now, i'm just gonna make it look bone stock (minus the aluminum slot wheels) on the outside. i really dont car if the engine internals are stock. i'm hoping for 400-500hp to the pavement. and, judging from the work our builder did on my dads last 440, which makes 650 on pump 91, i think i can manage about 450 to the ground.

i love horsepower

Fastback?

If she is, i might have to make an offer on the car to purchase it. We still need a car to go with our Black 68 Charger for our Bullitt Display at the Cleveland Autorama this March.
