this is what im trying to get it lookin like in the end...no chrome on the rims..or the car at all..

notice the side vents are shaved (doing that for sure) also i molded that little side panel the side vents were on, with the wiper cowl panel. handles shaved (still thinking...depends how long this is a daily driver) and if i shave the handles, id like to continue the theme and ditch the gas cap, id have to find a place to relocate the filler cap though....dont know yet, but i think all shaved like that looks bad ass...i didnt even lower it yet in this PS..heres the original though-

Just curious but have you gotten pulled over yet for your tail lights?

Here in California you would get a ticket for that.

That looks nice, and the p-shop is sweet too. If it moves from DD status I think it would look bad-ass to have the windshield wipers and cowl vents shaved as well. Give the car a completely smooth, dark look.

Well, if you want to get all technical the section does state "during darkness" but how many people only drive their car during daylight? Good luck trying to use that argument with a CHP officer on the side of the road or in court.

Subsection (d) states "When two taillamps are required, at least one shall be mounted at the left and one at the right side respectively at the same level."

Subsection (e) states "Taillamps shall be red in color and shall be plainly visible from all distances within 500 feet to the rear except that taillamps on vehicles manufactured after January 1, 1969, shall be plainly visible from all distances within 1,000 feet to the rear." Again, good luck to anyone that wants argue something like that on the side of the road or in court.

Also, section 24952 states "A lamp-type turn signal shall be plainly visible and understandable in normal sunlight and at nighttime from a distance of at least 300 feet to the front and rear of the vehicle, except that turn signal lamps on vehicles of a size required to be equipped with clearance lamps shall be visible from a distance of 500 feet during such times." A tail light that is covered by a black material and is on a black car could very easily be described as not plainly visible and/or understandable. And let's not forget that on a MINI, the turn signals, reverse and brake lights are all combined into a single housing.
