Default F56 Wheel Bolt Pattern Discussion

Calling out Rally & the m|u wheel gods.
MINI borrowed hubs from someone, dunno whom. VAG, Volvo? Or by some accident? Hub bore info is also a mystery. Stock et54 we know.

The pics you posted confirmed it's not 120, Jason. Thanks. Questions should be more on WHY than WHAT.......

They do look like 5x114.3 here (Clubman-wheel with 5x120 on hub):

There's no one fixed ET. There's a range that will work. Based one my wheel gauge set it looks to be 5x112. I doubt they borrowed hubs from another manufacturer. It's clearly a choice they made and my guess would be to freeze out the cross use of BMW wheels.

Good if it's 112 or 108 or even the Chevy 105, & not some new PCD.

Shouldn't be that difficult to redrill the hubs at a convenient 5 bolt pattern.... Easier than going from 4 to 5...

What other surprises might there be? No dipstick, mysterious pcd & hub bore, massively de-tuned 2L Turbo.......

They might be doing this on purpose so there is a bigger HP difference when the JCW is introduced....

Obviously.......Having them grow in size & new looks that may never grow on anyone, the S engine remains its only draw.

Gutted by this news - my BBS RC 303's will have to go up for sale!!

I was hoping to get them on the MINI and have a modded car from collection (with the addition of coil overs, of course!)

Waiting with baited breath for find the answer….

Yeah I was crushed to find out, but it might be better in the end. It sucks for everyone who bought wheels assuming they were 5x120.

I guess my Epsilons will be up for sale earlier than I expected.

Well there's really no need for 120 on a lightweight, small vehicle. So why add more unsprung weight if it's unnecessary?

And as Flamez said, it's highly unlikely that they would borrow hubs from another manufacturer.

5x120 is a bad PCD anyways....be glad it's 112/114

The real question to me is if the hub bore will be BMW specs while the PCD will be 5x112 or 5x114.
