Default 2010 Mini cooper s hardtop wheel fitment

Sorry if this has been asked before. I just bought a 2010 min cooper hardtop s mayfair. It has 177 wheels. Wondering what is the max width I can go with without ramming issues.
Thanks,
John

2010 = R56
R56 and r53 have nearly identical clearances.
follow the Think we can fit 9.5's? thread as reference.

i've never heard of wheels ramming. rubbing, yes. ramming, no.

the wider you go, the lower you should go in order to get a more aesthetically pleasing "stance" is the general opinion. ymmv

and i still <3 ramming

Ha sorry I didn't see the miss spelling :/. You wouldn't know the offset you could have with 17 x 9 and or 18 x 9 with minimal poke.
