Default Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI Ready For 2006 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI Ready For 2006 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb
July 10, 2006

Truck Trend,

Three 2006 Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDIs will embark upon the demanding climb to the 14,100-foot Pikes Peak summit in the 84th running of the Race to the Clouds. On July 1, pro-drivers Mark Miller, Danny Sullivan and Ryan Arciero will set out to show that the Touareg’s precise German engineering and powerful V10 TDI engine can handle even the most challenging driving conditions.

So the event was actually ten days ago or am I stuck in a time warp again?

Here's a link to the results:

From what I gather they set a class record but it was classified as an exhibition...very difficult event to find any info on.

It's a good event to be late on, cause I spent ten minutes trying to find any info at all on this year's event and it was all all pretty much the same, as if it hadn't happened yet.

I did hear a blip on the news 10 days ago about the winners, but didn't pay much attention. :o

Man....my Toaureg sucks in the snow with P-Zero tires. I almost lost it and my family's lives getting caught in a blizzard. Lost control and almost bailed down a 1000 ft cliff towards UT/AZ border. Go TOUAREG! Plus, it's crappy they don't MAKE V10's anymore.
