Default Considering a Clubman S 2009, your input?

I've been a Bimmer guy for the last decade and have had the pleasure of sharing an 08' Vert JCW for a while. Stopped at NW Mini to have a look and discovered the Clubman S. For what I'm looking at, I think this car fits the bill. Performance without sacrifice.

So now I ask this fine community for help in determining the following:

1. What are common, or known, issues with this year
2. Any common wear items
3. What should I be looking for in my inspection? I know my around cars very well, so please don't tell me general things, I'm looking for specific guidance on the unique to this chassis, etc.

Your input is greatly appreciate.

SOME SPECIFIC INFO

2009
6-speed manual
Leatherette
Cold Weather package

I don't have a clubman..... Mine's a 2009 JCW hardtop..... Has similar parts and pieces...

Sooooo.....

Engine wise.... Depending how the engine was driven..... May or maynot have a carbon buildup on the valves.... You just need to look at this issue as a service item when the hesitation is detected.... Figure $350 when it needs it...

High Pressure fuel pump..... But no worries here if its running smoothly now.... If it goes.... It's covered under factory extended warranty....

You don't know how the clutch was treated in the past.... Detect any slippage? Replacement cost can be $$$...
Dual mass flywheel is a weak area but may not necessarily be bad at this point... Throwout bearing is partially made from plastic... Wouldn't worry about it if the clutch seem fine.... Replace it when the clutch needs attention...

The thermostat housing has been known to leak....

The secondary water pump was a warranty replacement item...

The chain tensioner has gone through 3 design changes.... It's a $40 part that can be changed out easily... Check to see if it's tight... They have been known to back out and start leaking...

Cabin air filter gets probably needs replacing.... Easy DIY...

With the turbo engine.... Always use 100% synthetic.... Check the turbo oil line.... Seal has been known to leak... Tricky to replace but can be a DIY...

If the steering feel sloppy... rubber bushing would be suspect....

This is about it that comes to mind... Hope it helps....
