I'm bored at work so I might as well make a thread even though nothing is happening for a while. I picked up an F56 about 3 weeks ago.
The specs: 2014 MINI Cooper Base British Racing Green II / British Racing Green II MINI Connected XL LED Headlights Black Pearl Seats The plan: I don't really have a defined plan for this car. Wheels and coilovers for sure will happen as soon as some coilover options open up, but I'm pretty pleased with the car as a whole. I definitely want to enhance the engine noise quite a bit as it sounds amazing so a CAI and exhaust are probably in the cards eventually. Other than that, I'm just going to enjoy it. Y'all probably already saw all these pics from the F56 thread, but here they are again anyway ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Any reason why you went non-S this time around? The nww F56 "Justa" is on my radar after being somewhat underwhelmed by the new MK7 Golf platform being offered here.

I've always preferred the styling of the Justa, but in the past they never had enough power for me. This go around the Justa really blew me away. It is tons of fun to drive but still gets impressive gas mileage. For the cost of what it would have taken to get an S I was able to get upgraded seats and the MINI Connected XL setup, which was an easy decision for me.
I actually prefer the engine noise from the 3 cylinder too.

3L would sound pretty rad though haha. Do it.
Awesome color and the front-on angle looks fantastic. |

Can someone with photoshop skills fill out the chrome grille opening with 6 thicker silver slats? I need to see it, but I feel like it will make it look so much more like the classic Mini.

Why must I suck so bad at this? I looked all over for that
![]() Thanks. I was hoping it would break down how the key was made but I guess that's as good as we'll get. This key is insanely large and annoying.

I figured that could be the case with chrome, but the matte silver they're using on the Cooper actually looks pretty nice for a plastic part, so maybe something like that would be more fitting.
Also, you'll probably just have to pull the battery cover off of the key and see what options you've got for taking one apart. They've never offered replacement parts for small items like that, only the whole thing, so you'll have trouble doing anything that isn't completely custom. |
