I had to do surgery on mine to get them to stay lit in Linux after toggling the KVM switch (the keyboard, mouse, and monitor are shared by a Win7 machine) but now they stay lit even when the machines are off! I just bought a micro switch, so I'll be doing some soldering this weekend.

Looking for a monitor with 2560x1440 resolution found this one on slickdeals, read a bunch on it and gets surprisingly good reviews for the price. Ordered Saturday, have it in hand today. Not bad at all.

At that price I'll have to experiment, I've needed a new pillow for a while.
