i've got a white bell m3 with some stickers of my "sponsors"...

fiance's got a black pyrotect, looks sexy as hell.

the way someone explained it to me is like this, M helmets are designed to withstand one large impact (like when you fly off the bike) while SA helmets are designed to withstand bunches of lesser impacts (like to the roll cage) and the big one when you crash.

I've got a white, open face Pyrotech for AutoX. I've painted the visor Charcoal Metallic and added a "Drill" sticker to the side but don't have any pics. I DO have this on the back though...

Thanks, it's a factory design
I just didn't want to drive around with a plain white helmet

I've no clue, what the prices are in the states, but we have a helmet specialist here, who wanted the equivalent for a new pyrotect, to paint a custom design on a helmet. He has to use special paint to keep the helmet fire resistent and the Snell SA 2005 homologation intact.

(older post above I realize) out here you are required to have a Snell 2005 rating(iirc ) not the 2000 (changes every 5 years) for the AutoX and the track events
I just got a VEGA Mach1 full face with the "blue fire" graphics, matches the car pretty good, was like $110 shipped.

generally, organizing bodies will accept the current and previous two snell ratings. so since we're before 2010, 2005 is current, 2000 and 1995 are still legit.

at least i'm pretty sure that's the SCCA system.

you're probably right, I was told to get the 05 so it would be "current" for awhile and your explaination would be a good reason!!
