I just keep going back and forth because it's a decent chunk of money and I'd rather make the right decision. From what you said, would it be better to just spend the extra cash on v1's?

Although, if they're essentially kw reps, why not go with v-maxx? I don't mind a stiff ride at all and i do plan on going pretty low.

I'm not sure we're able to make that decision for you unfortunately. You know yourself and what you expect out of coilovers.

I'll just say that vmaxx's ride stiff. I don't mind it and actually like it. At the same time, I know some people would hate that. KW's ride better, but they're twice the price. It's up to you whether you want that extra ride comfort or if you want to go the budget route and get the vmaxx's.

I just know that the people who I know that are running vmaxx's are the ones that also run their cars slammed and won't mind the ride. (Wanderer, Funkylex, rednwhite, Drew's old r56). I'm sure there are a bunch of conservative owners who would wouldnt be happy with it

i would say if you dont plan on tracking your car a lot just go with the vmaxx everyone i know with them love them and the ride isnt bad at all and they go hella low....if i could go back i would prob get the vmaxx instead of my megans but dont get me wrong my megans feel awesome i have no complaints with them except for the fact that they need help going down as low as i want them 2 but thats only about half and inch from what im at now

The mini is my first car to mod, so I really have no idea what to expect when it comes to coilovers. Like I said though, I don't mind a stiff ride at all. It adds to the sports car feel, which I like. A lot of me just says screw ride comfort.

glnr13: sh!t I really hope not. Then I'd have even more questions and you guys would probably kill me

allblack05s: I drove the car for one winter because I had to. She was a serious tank, so I know what you mean. But while I'm away at school I just store her for the winter.

Quick question. Since I do plan on slamming my car, wouldn't the ride quality be pretty much the same between either v1's or vmaxx's anyway?
