I've ordered my brakes finally. I went with some Wilwood 12.2" fronts with the red race calipers and an Ireland rear kit with the repositioned calipers and bigger rotors. Hopefully that will make for some well balanced brakes. I'll be moving the JCW brakes over to the wife's MINI. More donor parts for her car. Hannibal should be in pretty good shape by MOTD when I get to drive it again.

On another note, as a favor to the guys doing the work on my car while I'm here in Afghan, my car is gonna be in the MC2 Dynamic Showcase at AMVIV.

My question relating to this is, should I have them put the m|u stickers (thanks again Hollis) on the car beforehand to represent? I'd like to hear what the members opinions are before I do anything. It's not going to hurt my feelings if you don't feel it's cool.

Default Faceless...

So here's an in-progress pic of the car awaiting the install of the M62 kit:

I say have them put the stickers on. Maybe even a motoringunderground.com sticker? Something like what RFIbanez has on his back window...

So anybody got any suggestions for euro-only parts I should try to pick up while I'm on vacation next week? I've got a short list put together already. Just lookin' to see what ideas other peeps got.

Thanks EM! I wasn't really the MINI naming type, but the wife came up with it and it cracked me up.

1. how about the power folding mirrors... under 10 mph and while stopped you can fold them in by the flick of a switch i hear they're pricey but it'd be damn unique.
2. or see if you can get the tail light "harness/clips" that allow you to utilize the built in "fogs" in the facelift tails...
3. dream part: jcw seats

I was thinking about the folding mirrors too, but my mod budget is lookin' a little slim for them. I think I'm gonna go a different way on the side mirrors anyway (hurry up Sid!).

I've already replaced my taillights, but it'd be nice to have the harness in case I want to change back sometime in the future. Anybody happen to know the part number for #2?

I'm hoping to get a look at the JCW seats while we're over there if I can. Again, I doubt I can swing the cost right now, but who knows. Thanks for the kick a$$ ideas Glen!

Anybody else? Bueller, Bueller???
