What about that shift boot, cooldaddy. Where did you score that? It looks slick.

i've driven a car with a whalen installed. it felt pretty good. the weight helped it get to where the shifter needed to go.

I love my whalen. I got a plain one (no pattern). That's the difference between the whalen and others - you can customise it. Only problem is a lump of metal like that is a fabulous conductor - hot in summer and cold in winter...In the extremes of summer here, I take my whalen off and into work with me so I can use the car when I get in it!!!

I find it hard to believe the UUC would weigh twice as much as a whalen - unless it's made of depleated uranium! The whalen is already quite heavy for it's size. Whalen also do a pool ball...

I thought the Whalen was removable, just wasn't too sure.

When I had my MOMO, I kept a soft cloth in the glove box just for those really hot Texas days.

Somebody, somewhere sells a shift knob cover. I just can't remember who right now.

outmotoring sells a little cover. I got one, I think it's like 8 dollars.

I had an aluminum promini knob for a while. It screwed on, which eventually made the "Promini" look crooked when it threaded a little too far, so I replaced it with the stock one for now. I like the UUC knob, does it attach with a set screw or does it screw on?

I said I think it weighs roughly the same as the Whalen, not twice as much.

And KiLO the UUC gets hot too, but not quite as hot as the aluminum JDM RSX-S knob I had. That black part of the UUC is rubbery. It's actually a little grippy in your hand. That part loses heat quicker than the metal so you can actually use the knob sooner in the summer time.

whalen's feel good in the palm... aint nothing bad performance wise... just a lil on the pricey side. but TIT makes a good point, those whalen's pop off w/ ease, take it off on a hot day and pop it back on when you're ready to go... i like that idea...
