Default M|U GT5 Weekly Races - Wednesday Nights

First official race 8/17/11 - Box Stock R56 Cup - 6:30PM PST/9:30PM EST - Green Flag by 7PM PST at the latest

Click the image to open in full size.

Car - Box Stock R56 provided (not using your own car)
Tires - Sports Soft
Lap Count - 5 Laps
Grid Type - Shuffle
Tracks - Tskuba, Deep Forest Reverse, Suzuka East
Damage - No Damage Penalties
Driver Aids - ABS / Driving Line (All others off)
Warm Up - 15 Minutes Per Track

We're going to start out with no damage penalties and do the honor system and self policing. If you gain a position from a banzai move you will have to give it back. The litmus test for this is if you could not have made the corner without making contact with the other car. Off track excursions will be treated the same way.

That being said a bit of rubbing is to be expected in the box stock races that we do.

BTW I want to start with spec mini. It seems like the obvious choice.

Down, I'm sick of getting schooled by people online who only own Elise's and Mugen S2000's.

This sounds awesome. I would probably get my ass kicked, but would have fun doing it.

Only thing for me is being sure I could consistently be able to do it. Bi-weekly might be possible depending on the night. I also have a friend who just got the game who might be down too. I will let him know about it if this gets going.

Absolutely down for this! My Tuesday's are rather busy, but that will change in a few weeks. The host of the race can actually specify a car that everyone will have to use, and it's the exact same for everyone. When I race online I stick to the lower PP rooms, less than 600. The higher PP rooms seem to be full of idiots who wanna go fast...usually into other cars. Some of the most fun races are the Shuffle rooms. Everyone is given a random car every race, and all the cars are close in PP range. You never know what you're gonna get, it's a real testament to the driver's skill.

Tuesday nights will probably be pretty good for me as well. Might have to break for a bit to put the kids to bed, but otherwise I should be available.

I'm interested in participating when I have the free time. I just finally got my ps3 up and running again. Haven't played games since I moved back in March so I'm sure I'm a bit rusty
