That's about when I left L.A. for the event when I came down to San Diego. It's damn early. Not much traffic though... but what little there is may be of a somewhat questionable variety.

It would be good to have you up for the event though. Rory could use some competition in the MCS class.

Who's Rory? (sorry I don't know everyone out there in Mini Land yet... I'd like to make a proper timed run as the last we did was un-official....

I'm considering it. Still on my balding street rubber and fading brakes though... I'd like to get those two parts remedied before actually trying.

Rory is in SCMM. He has a PS/B MCS, and he's usually in the hunt for the overall Top Time of Day.

I don't have the official times, but here was the placing for the awards

A class (including MC)
1) Dave in a MC - 63.4
2) Jerry (goaljnky from Mininuts) in a MCc - 63.6
3) a BMW at 66 and change

B class (including the MCS)

1) Rory - MCS (in the 57's as I recall)
2) Matt from Mininuts - MCS (in the 59's as I recall)
3) an EB/W MCS driven by an employee of h-sport (I forget his name, my apologies) - In the 61's

I don't have placing beyond the top 3, but there were 4 MC's and at least one 4 cylinder BMW in A and 11 MCS's + some unknown (zero?) 4 cylinder mod BMW's.

Thanks to glnr13 and the folks from SCMM that swung by to check out the event!

At this event the L.A. BMWCCA announced that at the July 16th event there will be a new MINI class (all the MINIs in one class, basically regardless of mods). Which I suppose is a good thing in the big picture, but it'll mean the MC's will have to be a little cleaner and fight a little harder.

Let me just say that this was my first AuotX and it was more fun than a German whore house. You all need to come out for the July 16th one. I won't be driving, but I will be there.

Hahah wow, congratulations! They're getting tired of MINIs dominating, eh?
