Talking Hui's R53

Hey I'm Adrian and here's my nameless Mini. Pretty excited to add some mods to my daily driver. If you're wondering "Hui" is my last name lol

So I bought this used 2004 Mini Cooper S (R53). It was all stock. The previous owner did no maintenance what so ever or knew nothing about cars. They didn't know why it was having problems.

It's been running dry on motor oil, anti freeze, and well you know maintenance.

So far what I've done to the car is put on some 17 in. OZ Racing Rims.

*UPDATE*
As of 8/10/13 , I have a messed up door. I went to the grocery store and come outside to find out that someone hit my car and dipped. They even took the plastic trim off my car.

I don't have a picture of the door but picture a big mean dent. My hood slightly misaligned

I replaced the coolant tank with a new one because the old one was cracked.

Put in some fresh NGK Iridium Spark Plugs and Wires

MSD ignition coil (you can noticeably feel the difference)

Original ignition coil had corrosion I guess on the tips. And the old plugs had massive carbon deposits.

Usual maintenance. OEM Brakes as well (budget)

Suggestions would be greatly appreciate. Take note that I'm a college student with a tight budget.

So would you recommend Powerflex over Madness bushings?

Sorry to hear that happened to your car. Hopefully the jerk that did that gets herpes or something. Can't wait to see this car evolve

I'm pretty stoked to getting it to where I'm happy and comfortable with my car.

I have to be careful because I live in Southern California. The Mexico border is literally my backyard. Either I try my best to prevent things happening to my car or have a backup plan for when something does happen.

Nice MINI. I hear more and more about people coming out to their cars and finding them in this way... Sorry your car had to become a victim.

Haven't tried the Madness PU bushes. They should be ok. Powerflex seems to be the more common & popular option.

From what I read Superflex is also a good option, because they have a metal insert. Whiteline also has them IIRC...
