Gears you can play spit screen. or u can play split screen online so you and a friend can go online... its really nice. I dunno about halo tho... PGR3 is fun to just go online and talk to other car nuts... thats why i cant wait till forza! Also i have only met a couple douche bags while on live... but youll have that.

Douche bags over voice chat or otherwise? Is there a way to limit who you play with like The DS? I assume you have a buddy list and stuff right? and can elect to play with just those people?

Since you've got both a PS3 and 360 which one do you see going further? I want get one or the other, hopefully for my birthday in June but I'm still really torn between the 2. Home looks nice but that's been the only thing on the PS3 that I've seen that won't be available on the 360. To me that's just not worth an extra $100 at minimum.

I havent even played the PS3 online because i dont know many people with ps3's. Im excited to see which system offers what but right now i would say the 360, but in a year, who knows what awnser i will chose. either way i dont think u will be dissapointed.

also you are going to start seeing less and less exclusive titles for just 360 or just ps3. They said its too expensive to get exclusive licences because of the dev costs. That might change in 2 years tho.

Have they figured out a way to use PS2 controllers on the PS3? That's been another deciding factor. I've got a couple PS2 joysticks (and what about Guitar Hero guitars? Did they figure that out yet?) I really don't want to lose use of unless I have to. If I can't use them then that's another notch in the 360 column.

heres an article
http://www.engadget.com/2006/05/19/i...s3-controller/
http://ps3.ign.com/articles/713/713259p1.html
Quote:
Why doesn't Sony's Playstation 3 controller give you the shakes? According to the company, the familiar DualShock-style force-feedback was dropped from the new controller in favor of motion-sensors. However, Immersion Technologies -- which sued Sony for using its haptic tech in earlier controllers -- believes that the controller could be made to rumble, and has some ideas for Sony about how to do it. The catch: Sony needs to drop its appeal of the verdict in Immersion's 2004 lawsuit, and pay Immersion the $90 million that the judge in that case awarded the company. And, of course, Sony would have to pay Immersion for whatever technology they use in the PS3 controller. Frankly, it doesn't sound like a bad deal. By continuing to appeal the lawsuit, Sony's risking another loss and piling up legal fees, and by dropping the shock, they're left with a controller that many have called a weak attempt to copy the Wii. Working with Immersion on a haptic solution could solve both problems.

Yeah, I knew about the rumble stuff. I'm just wondering if any of those PS2 to USB adapters have been shown to work for stuff. I know they work great on my PC but I didn't know if they worked with the PS3 yet.

More rumors... Black will be the new premium with HDMI and 120GB hdd. The new info here is this could all go down as early as May. That could really get me interested...
