MrBattle--

Thatks for looking out. I've actually been looking at the XBR's. It doesn't look lilike they make any XBR1's any more.

Right now as it stands, with fingers crossed I am looking at the KDL-46XBR2 or KDL-46XBR3. I think the only difference is the casing.

I am still gonna take a look at the Samsung and Sharp models and see if they hold any footing to the XBR's

Bravia Pro engine

Ooooo.... Fancy!

So what's the deal with GT HD? What's available right now? Is it that upgraded GT4 or more or less or what?

K, I am leaving this up to the m|u community. I want a PS3, and I want a 360. But the bank account can only allow for 1. I need help making my decision, you mind helping me out please.

I love RACING games the most. I am a die hard F1 fan, and love the idea that a video game is available in the states again. Gran Turismo will be coming out at some point, and that has to be one of the all time best driving games. Yes Forza 1 for xbox was great, but the car felt better on GT4, to me that is.

So here is what I see as positives for 360:
Good amount of games
Big user base
Forza 2
Dirt?
brother, and buddy have one

Positives for PS3
F1 game
PSP support (i love my PSP)
built in wireless networking adaptor
free GTHD demo
HDMI output (i have a free HDMI port)

So hmmm, what to do. I am ready to pull the trigger on this today. I work here at the Sony lot, and the they finally have the PS3 systems available for employee purchase. There is an EBgames & Best Buy across the street, and they have both systems I know. Man what to do what to do....

Specifically to all you PS3 owners with the F1 game. How is the network play? Is there any?

Hmmm...

If it means anything I'm going PS3 for all the reasons you stated. Plus a Blu-ray player full 1080p compatibility (depending on the game), sixaxis controller, Backwards compatible.

360 is 300 to 480 plus 200 for HD

PS3 is 600 blu-ray included

I'd go PS3, especially if you are getting some sort of discount. That's what I need to find. A discount. Maybe I'll work part-time at best buy just long enough to get one.

Dood, believe it or not, no discount. $600 staight up. they still don't have PS2s on any kind of discount. But TVs on the other hand. Picked myself up one of the 40" Bravias, the low end one, not the XBR. It is FANTASTIC. Love it. Makes wathcing that Planet Earth show a mind blowing experience.

i have the demo, but havent bit the bullet and bought it yet... Its really pretty but i didnt really get into it because you cant tune F1 that much(i dont think you can in the game?) Another thing you gotta remember is that this generation there isnt going to be barely ANY exclusive titles for each system(cept like forza and GT) because it just cost to much money to bank on a single system release. Ill tell you this. XBox has a WAY better online feel and intergration right now. im sure sony will pick up the pace soon. Also XBox will have an HDMI switch with the elite coming out but then ur getting up to the price of the PS3 with HDDVD. I love my ps3, if even just for blu-ray. But motorstorm is badass, same with resistance, and GTHD is a kick... But on the other hand i love my 360 for games like forza 1, PGR3, TDU. i dunno thats my opinion!

I'm completely jealous. I think I'm getting the 46" XBR2 soon. But my GF is still debating on wether or not we should get the 52". I told her if it got us the TV sooner I would be happy with the 46".

But the more and more we go back to the store the more she is leaning over to the Dark side and wanting the 52" . Now I just wish she would make up her mind so we could get the TV hung and I can get to racing some F1.

I think the price jump from the 46" to the 52" is hard for her to hold down. The question I keep hearing is: Is 6" really worth the price?

Awwww, screw it, going across the street to go get it. I am waiting on material to come in, so I am sitting on my hands all day anyhow. Might as well play PS3.

Pulling the trigger, will report more when I get back.
