Default April 26-27 | FLR SCCA Autocross | RIT

Ahhh, time for some autocross in Rochester again. April 26th is a test and tune and as far as I know is full but anyone is welcome to show up... I'll have some cool new things on the car to play with. The 27th is the actually event and is still open for registration.

Info and registration: http://www.flr-scca.com/solo/schedule.html

Hope to see any m|uers there.

Heya Adam!

I'm going to be in the area, but not with FLR. My home region MoHud is having a test+tune at Seneca Army Depot on Sunday. There's another one Sept. 6th, pre-reg "required," $50, 25 car limit.

You have any other MINIs showing up to FLR events regularly these days?

Sept 6th, eh? I might be able to do that one.

There were 5 other MINIs for a total of 8 drivers at this event! It was a really good day, an R56 went 1-2 in GS, another R53 went 1-2 (out of 2) in XP and my co-driver and I went 1-2 raw times in novice (5th and 3rd after the SM PAX) and an R50 with a first time drive had one of the biggest improvements on the day. We would have actually been pretty competitive in SM, which is weird, we would have ended up 3rd and 4th out of I think 7.

I actually got beat in my own car too. My co busted out a super smooth super fast last lap, dropped 2.5 seconds and got me by about 0.8. We were fighting a bit of oversteer all day but chalked it up to tire pressure and damper settings so we were able to smooth it out by the 4th run. Overall everything went really well and it was a great day to be standing in a parking lot. Looking forward to the next event in two weeks. I think I'll have the same co so I'll get a chance for revenge.

That looks like too much fun. I could never beat my car like that, though

Been thinking about getting an R53 specifically for tracking...then I wouldn't feel bad. Gotta build this one first, though...one money pit at a time

Autocross doesn't beat up your car much.
