rally, you thought of buying some of the OEM chrome trim part, trimming the top edge of the part in the body and continuing the chrome ring around?

You mean the beltline and how it interacts with the C-pillar?

The C-pillar wouldn't even need to be cut because it isn't raised....the custom beltline part could go right on top. I had thought about it. I had also thought about trying to compare that flexible chrome beltline that they sell to ricers etc to see how it compared. I would definitely go that route if I wanted to paint the bottom half brown and the top parts black to match the windows.

If I go wood, I like how the parts flow into each other. The chrome would put an abrupt stop in that shape which won't be very good if they're all one color. I agree with you that it should be done if people try to achieve the floating roof look like the regular car.

you know, as much as i'm a monochrome kinda guy myself, i think the wood print vinyl rear end would be pretty sweet. just like you've talked about. very nice modern interpretation of the woody. it's as 'honest' as we can be nowadays.

i'd go with a tight linear grain like wtp-176 or 177 (maybe 198). you gonna mount the surfboard on-center or off-center?

You need to use a different rack than the MINI rack. Somethin that looks more old school IMO.

Clean out yer mailbox dood. My email bounced back.
